Reasonable, but not enough
ok, lets be fair. It is a good app.
But I dont mean for the occasional user. Remote Desktop is a tool for people who access virtualized environments at work, and usually do this all day long.
If the only platform available is iOS, then this app is really lagging.
Productivity is about being able to quickly performing the actions you have to, and quickly usually means you need keyboard shortcuts to be functional. It is also about precision, and that usually has to do with a good pointing device, such as the Apple Magic Trackpad.
So, to list a few shortcomings I notice in this app:
1. No mouse/trackpad support (how come Citrix has one?)
2. Handicapped keyboard (no ESC, no CTRL, not even a CTRL-Z, only bare CMD-X/CMD-C/CMD-V for the clipboard)
I would like to see Apple provide Magic Trackpad pairing on iPad and an API this app could use to control a cursor. And direct control of an external keyboard with full functionality.
I would gladly pay for such an app.
