Remote Desktop Mobile App Reviews

Overall okay app for RDP

Overall this app is decent for RDP. It works at a native resolution on the iPad Pro (big plus). It also seems to perform well on a slow connection. A few suggestions.... 1) Implement "ESC" and "CTRL" support for the app. This would be extremely helpful when using a Bluetooth keyboard. TeamViewer does this without issue. 2) Option to hide the top menu. This can get in the way after a while. Let us hide that top menu to get the full screen experience. If these minor things would be fixed this would be my go-to app for all of my remote access needs.

Works Great!

Very convenient and an absolute necessity when your on the move.

Really disappointed

I am very frustrated with this app. When it works it works great but most the time its fails to connect either 2 feet from my router or running Wi-Fi from any other remote location. I was at my community pool and had great Wi-Fi reception from the public router there but still could not connect to my laptop which home which was running and on and not in any kind of Powersave mode. I drove home and the remote desktop connection worked. Went back to the pool area then came home again and now it will not connect next to the computer. So beyond irritated and I cant find any support for it.

Save password means save password

So stupid to release such an obviously broken version. Do you test anything before you release it?

The last update RUINED this app it no longer saves credentials. Fix this.

Fix Passwords!

So passwords cant be saved with the latest botched update. Do you even test before releasing updates?

Stopped working

The newest version stopped working

Does not save credentials

I like the app. Huge oversight to release a build with a bug as big as not saving credentials. Fix that and its gold!

Works so well you forget to write reviews

Ive used my iPad Pro to connect to all kinds of Windows desktops and servers from nearly every OS version Microsoft ever made and it works quickly and predictably just like the desktop version. RDP is a pretty well established protocol, and seems to have aged well. Even over LTE connections, Im able to maintain a good connection. Too much latency and I get reconnected no problem. Unless you are unfamiliar with running RDP on alternative ports and cant modify firewalls, why pay money for any other remote desktop solution?

Ms.

Unable to use app since upload. Will not connect to server due to incorrect credentials (we know they are correct). Also, after so many failed attempts, will lock out users account in Active Directory. Please update!

PLEASE bring back saving credentials

I loved it when I discovered this app. Loved it even more than the chrome RDP app. now credentials dont get saved. please fix that! also, really glad you guys made that moveable top bar smaller!!! kudos

Bad update

This is the easiest app to connect to your windows boxes remotely. Huge bug regarding saved credentials, you cant any longer. Seems like basic testing could have caught it.

Does not save credentials anymore

Very buggy and shocking that it doesnt save passwords anymore. If not for that would be a great app.

Gets better with every update (Except Last Update)

Latest Update broke the App. App locks up while trying to log into server. Microsofts Remote Desktop Client for iPad has always been a solid (and free) app that made it easy to connect to windows machines. The App had some issues in the beginning but with every update Microsoft has really improved the App and added some neat features. The App is so good now it works nearly flawlessly. The latest release has a great new my Desktop page, and is very responsive to inputs. I would give the app five stars if it werent limited to Windows machines. Adding the ability to remotely connect to Macs on my network would make this the best Remote Desktop app on the market.

Loss of ability to save credentials

I use the app daily and have been very happy with it for several years. The 4/18/2016 update introduced a bug in that it does not have the ability to save login credentials. This is a major problem and inconvenience. I hope this error is corrected immediately.

Complete junk

I think Microsoft wants to frustrate iPad users with the hope they will jump ship. How can an app get progressively worse with every update? Nothing seems to ever work right and this app cannot remember settings.

Was a great app

I would have given it five stars a week ago but the latest update seems to have broken it. Just sits there connecting...

BUG....button to store passwords for device profile is always off.

Opening device ALWYS prompts for password. MS broke the APP !!! Typical.

Fix it please

The last update dont save the credentials, please fix it

Please fix save passwords

Please fix save passwords. Last update also appears to have broken remote resource feed. Rating is for what the app was before it was fixed.
