Remote Desktop Mobile App Reviews

The previous versions of this app is great. Unfortunately, the current version of this app will not allow you to save the login credentials and you have to enter them every time you log on, thus creating a very inconvenient and time consuming issue. I hope someone fixes this problem very soon!

Ive had a very positive experience using this app for the first 30 minutes or so. Its is very responsive for remote administration, although Ive only tested it with pretty fast internet. It scales my desktop to a good resolution. I like the default way they handle the mouse pointer. You can switch it to use regular touch controls, but then its very hard to hit desktop buttons that arent touch optimized.

After last update, IPad will not work remotely into desktop at work! My laptop (non-Apple)- could access, so its not an issue with my system at office. I bought the app for iPad use-please help!

Can no longer save credentials for a remote session. This makes it quite a nuisance on iPhones.

ok, lets be fair. It is a good app. But I dont mean for the occasional user. Remote Desktop is a tool for people who access virtualized environments at work, and usually do this all day long. If the only platform available is iOS, then this app is really lagging. Productivity is about being able to quickly performing the actions you have to, and quickly usually means you need keyboard shortcuts to be functional. It is also about precision, and that usually has to do with a good pointing device, such as the Apple Magic Trackpad. So, to list a few shortcomings I notice in this app: 1. No mouse/trackpad support (how come Citrix has one?) 2. Handicapped keyboard (no ESC, no CTRL, not even a CTRL-Z, only bare CMD-X/CMD-C/CMD-V for the clipboard) I would like to see Apple provide Magic Trackpad pairing on iPad and an API this app could use to control a cursor. And direct control of an external keyboard with full functionality. I would gladly pay for such an app.

No longer saves credentials after update. Very inconvenient if you have multiple creds. Please fix!!!!

Please fix. Last update stopped it from saving credentials. Tried everything. Royal pain in the butt.

FAIL - Poor testing Microsoft! The password is not saved (even if its set to) so those of us with difficult passwords have to type them in all the time. Very annoying. Worked fine in previous versions.

Finaly, Save password came back!

***update MS resolved the Webfeed and the password save issue few days later. I changed the rating to 5 stars. Thank you ***previous Ive never had any issues with the app. However, the newest update makes the app unusable in our enterprise environment. The Webfeed doesnt work any longer. Please fix!!!

Back to good old great and updated RDP, thank you!

This is pretty much a portable version of RDP, which is a lifesaver if you do any sort of IT work. Before I installed this app I used to have to go searching for an unoccupied PC to remote in to my workstation if I needed to access certain resources that are not available on my mobile phone, but now I just open this app and voilà - my Windows Desktop right where Im standing. Sure, its tiny on an iPhone screen but its enough to get me out of a bind and saving me precious time, since I no longer have to hunt down an unused machine to log in just to verify a password or unlock a user account. My only gripe is that you cant hide the connection bar at the top of the screen, so it eats into the already tiny viewable area. Minor complaint on an otherwise stellar app.

Fixed the not saving passwords issue.

I love this app, and the fact that its native is even better.

Previously had the app at 1 star as it failed to retain passwords. The Microsoft developers listened and responded- very happy. Whilst the app misses the bells and whistles of other remote programs its simplicity and integration with Win 10 & 7 built in remote access outweighs these negatives (in my opinion).

Its great to be able to connect to all my servers from my iPad!

Every time I select "save password" for my RDP connections, it will not remember them ever since the last update. No matter how many times I select it, it will never remember my passwords. Very inconvenient. Edit: The above issue has been fixed. Changed to 5 stars :)

It stopped saving my password, but I could live with that. Then it simply stopped connecting. Edit... They fixed it! That was quick. Thank you! Back to 5 stars!
